Mendel Zilberberg

Mendel Zilberberg

Mendel Zilberberg is the Founder of Zilberberg Einhorn Karpel, P.C., and currently serves in a limited advisory role.

For decades Mr. Zilberberg represented healthcare clients as well as other small to medium size businesses with interests throughout the United States. As an advisor to many different types of businesses during their formation, growth and maturation, and through their ultimate sale, Mr. Zilberberg understands what it takes to deliver the counsel, assistance and support that clients require in order to succeed.

In addition, Mr. Zilberberg represented individuals and businesses in navigating complex insurance claims involving a wide range of policies, including disability, life, property, and long-term care. Mr. Zilberberg also represented clients in litigation against insurance companies for denial of claims.

The independent and highly acclaimed peer review board, Martindale-Hubbell, has recognized Mendel Zilberberg’s excellence in the legal profession by awarding him an AV rating, the highest rating possible.

A graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, which he attended as a Belkin Scholar, Mr. Zilberberg is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Florida.

Samuel Karpel

Samuel Karpel

Sam Karpel represents clients in a wide variety of business and commercial litigation, including cases involving breach of contract, partnership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, business fraud, breach of promissory notes and personal guarantees, actions to enforce judgments, and confirmation of arbitration awards. In addition, Mr. Karpel represents clients in the submission of insurance claims, and in litigation against insurance companies for the wrongful denial of claims, including disability and property insurance claims.

Mr. Karpel also represents clients in appellate proceedings and has argued several appeals; and has extensive experience drafting appellate briefs in cases involving complex legal issues.

Furthermore, Mr. Karpel is outside counsel to a revenue cycle management company (www.medicalbillingwholesalers.com) and is outside counsel to a company that provides medical records services to law firms (www.acrodocz.com). As counsel to these businesses, Mr. Karpel negotiates and drafts contracts, and oversees compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) as well as other regulations and law.

Mr. Karpel received a B.A. in 2003 from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and received a J.D. in 2006 from New England School of Law in Boston. Mr. Karpel is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.

Sylvia Einhorn

Sylvia Einhorn

Sylvia Einhorn received her B.A. in economics, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Brooklyn College in 1972. Over the next fifteen years she gained broad and in-depth experience in establishing and growing business enterprises. Concurrently, Ms. Einhorn attended law school in the evenings and received her J.D. from Fordham Law School in 1987 with highest honors, placing first in her graduating class and serving on law review. Ms. Einhorn then worked for over 15 years at Skadden Arps, until joining our practice.

Ms. Einhorn devoted most of her time at Skadden Arps to trusts and estates and charitable entities and assisted clients with diverse business interests, investments and corporate positions in achieving their personal and familial as well as business and transitional goals.

At our firm Ms. Einhorn uses her breadth of experience in addressing each client’s unique needs and aspirations, relating to family, insurance, business growth and expansion and ultimate disposition. Ms. Einhorn has extensive experience in planning for and executing transitions of businesses and wealth, managing and disposing of vast and diverse business interests, including real estate and commercial enterprises, in deceased clients’ estates.

Ms. Einhorn is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
